Story School. Pixar story making

Pixar partnered with Khan Academy, a non-profit company whose mission is to provide a free, world-class education to anyone, anywhere, to offer several Pixar classes aka "Pixar in a box".

The one that interests us today is "The Art of Storytelling" and I will embed just one of the videos from the Story Structure section and an interesting quote:

"Dialogue is just wall paper, if you put wall paper up but the walls are in the wrong place, then it was a complete waste of your time..."

I want to add two more videos to this article, again from Pixar and Monsters University as it shows how close to solving a puzzle storytelling is for the first one.

The second one is also relevant and highlights how brainstorming and gag sessions can be daunting, even at a top storytelling house like Pixar.
